Yes, we did it, we are out of Last Place where we don't belong.  We got 4 points last night and the Gutterpals got 5 and that meant we made it by half a point.  Now the second part of the season starts next week and we will go for the Gold.

Last Resort Lives Up to Her Name.

Hi Hot Shots & Hotettes,

Hot Shot Hal was sick and couldn't replace Hot Shot Pete who was out of town.  It came down to the last bowler we could ever have roll for the infamous professional All Male bowling team known as the Hot Shots.  Last Resort showed up for the first time this year rolling to an average of 131 from last year.  Check her out.

The Anchor Position Has Changed!

Not only did the Caper, the Acting Anchor for the last few weeks,  lose the Anchor Position to the Captain he was the worst bowler on the night and had to serve the Captain a Free Beer.

No wonder he has his eyes closed.

With not getting a point on the night I have nothing else to say.

Zero Points For The Hot Shots!

Hi Hot Shots & Hotettes,

Hotettes you are letting down the team, if you know what I mean.  We played the worst team in the league and didn't get a point.  The only thing that was good is that the Captain had his Free Beer served by the Acting Anchor Caper.  How sweet it is.

We Were Good But They Were Better!

Is it something I said?  All I said to the lowly Blow Pins at the start was that we were going to be nice to them and only take five points from them instead of the usual 7.

Three Hot Shots were up to the task and as a team we were 65 points over our average but the Blow Pins went crazy.  We wore them down in the third game but it was touch and go who would serve the Free Beer to Hot Shot Alain.  One Hot Shot was 33 points under his average and one was 35 points when it was all added up by the certified accountants.

The Hot Shots Start 14th Season!

Hi Hot Shots & Hotettes,

Another season has started on Tuesday Night At Taylor Creek.  Every Hot Shot & Hotette have made a commitment to their beloved Captain Hot Shot to follow his leadership to win the gold.  The Hotettes have renewed vigor to help their Hot Shot, if you know what I mean.

The first night The Caper won the Free Beer but he didn't want to be in the video as he had nothing to say.  Imagine, the Caper had nothing to say.  Last night Hot Shot Hal, filling in for Hot Shot Pete, was the top Hot Shot with 108 pins over his average.  Hot Shot Gord S. filled in at the last minute for Dan The Man and was happy to serve him his Free Beer.  Check out the first video of the season.

The 13th Season is Over!

Hi Hot Shots & Hotettes,

Thirteen years of fun and even some nights we had fun and we weren't even winning.  Go figure!

Last night in Mike's Pub the tears were flowing pretty good from all the Hot Shots.  They want to keep bowling and not go play golf all summer.  The usual happened:

Caper Ran and Dan The Man said they were going to quit again this year but we all know that would never happen as their Hotettes would not let them.  Their Hotettes love for them to get out of the house.

Hot Shot Gord was the star of the night and received a free beer from, you guessed it, The Caper who was the worst Hot Shot in the Playoffs.  Check out the video.

Until the Fall we will start winning and having fun.

Season Is Over - Now For the Playoffs!

Hi Hot Shots & Hotettes,

We ended on a good note as Captain Hotette came to bowl for Hot Shot Alain.  He may be replaced next year as Captain Hotette rolled a 181 in the first game and Dan The Man and Hot Shot Hal couldn't beat that score all night.

Of course the last night belonged to Captain Hot Shot as he rolled a 833 triple and took the Prize away from Striker Denis who had the lead all year.  Life is good.

Now for gold in the Playoffs.

Another night at Taylor Creek for the infamous professional bowling team known as the Hot Shots.  The Captain gave an inspirational speech to his Hot Shots to play like our Golden Olympic Athletics.  The Captain said to bowl like the girls and Dan The Man did.  That is why he is serving the beer to Hot Shot Gord.  Check them out.

The Caper Saves The Day!

Hi Hot Shots & Hotettes,

The Caper returned with a deep tan and we were all happy that he didn't show us his tan lines.  He came through with his best game in the third to secure us two points on our way to the bottom of the league.  We are trying to get to the bottom so we can rise to the top by April and win the gold.

Hot Shot Gord was the best Hot Shot on the night and the Captain was good enough to thank him and serve him a beer.  Check out the video from Gord's Iphone as my battery was dead.

Mike's Pub was full last night and I didn't notice a big Blonde Bombshell eyeing me until I left.  I had my coat on but she stilled wanted me to dance with her and hug her all over.  She looked like Marilyn Monroe and had the same body.  What a dance we had.  Amanda the barmaid was jealous of her.  When I told her I wasn't going to sleep all night she gave me the biggest hug of the night.  I was luck to get out alive.  Here is a photo Gord took of us.  Now I know what they mean by Dirty Dancing.

With only 4 weeks left to the Christmas Season the gold is ours.  After another 5 points last night we are still tied for First Place, where we belong, with the Blow Pins.

Yes, the Hot Shots took a blow to their ego last night as the Rolling Stones with Captain Past President Laval doing us in.  We didn't get a point.  They loved it and I didn't sleep all night thinking of losing First Place to them.

Only two Hot Shots rolled over their average.  Hot Shot Pete and Hot Shot Alain and Hot Shot Pete won the Free Beer after driving through a snow storm in Quebec to get his Free Beer.  Check out the video.

Yes, the infamous professional bowling team known as the Hot Shots are still in first place, where we belong.  As we are the nicest team in the league we gave the feMALE President 5 points last night to help them get out of the bottom half of the league.  What a NICE team we are.

The Caper didn't agree with being nice and rolled a 282 in the first game to take two points but after the Captain had a talk to him about being nice he then rolled a 129 in the second game.  Just listen to him.

The Hot Shots were all pumped and ready to bowl on Tuesday Night At Taylor Creek.  We were all so excited to be back to the game we love.  You could see it on their faces.  They would rather be bowling than playing golf.

It was a great way to start the season with 5 points over the Yabadabadoos.  They didn't know what hit them.

It was another tough night at Taylor Creek.  We only managed two points thanks to your glorious Captain who came through on the last ball of the game for a strike to win the two points by 4 points.  Hot Shot Hal helped a small amount with his 270 game and that is why I am serving him a Free Beer.

Best Game Of The Season!

Yes, our new team balls are finally here.  I wasn't called to advise me that they were here and when I checked into the second game they were located.  What a difference.  The Missiles are amazing.  The purple and black balls go zooming done the lanes to strikes and spares.  The Hot Shots have not lost a game with them yet.  Here are the new Ball Stats with our new balls.

We have started the 12th season of the infamous professional bowling team known as the Hot Shots.  Dallas never ran this long.  Our first video of the new season shows two Hot Shots sitting down drinking there beer as it was too hot in the lanes at Taylor Creek to stand up.  The good news is that Amanada is still back at the bar which keeps us late on Tuesday Night At Taylor Creek.

I use that term loosely.  It was another bad night at Taylor Creek.  Only one Hot Shot was over his average after poor bowling for the last 10 weeks.  He claims he is Irish but he is the only Hot Shot who did not wear green last night.  Check him out.

Hot Shots Gord did the honourable thing on his last night of bowling before he heads to Quebec and Florida.  He served the beer.  The Captain was so grateful as he was within 2 pins of serving.  Don't bother watching the video if you don't want to see Hot Shot Alain win another Free Beer for the third night in a row.

Of course the best Free Beer of the night was when your beloved Captain rolled a perfect strike to win the Strike Bowl and $45 to the shouts of the Hot Shots shouting " Free Beer!  Free Beer!" and the Captain shouting  "Show Me The Money!"

Yes, we are going for the gold with another 5 points last night.  We would have had 7 points if Hot Shot Alain would have showed up for the first game.  He didn't get there until the 8th frame but was on fire for two games and won the Free Beer again.  He said he was at the dentist.  I am now sending him to the dentist every Tuesday night so he can get some of those drugs or whatever they gave him.

The Captain had his worst night of the season and rolled 142 points below his average.  Even Hot Shot Alain was giving him pointers.  The dreaded Crying Towel, received from the Easy Rollers at Christmas was soaked from his tears and he may never recover.  Check out the video to see who won the Free Beer with a Turkey in his last game.

Yes it was a great night.  The infamous professional bowling team known as the Hot Shots gathered early in Mike's Pub to celebrate the retirement of Dan The Man after 36 years of dedicated service to his country.  Too bad he didn't win the Free Beer but he tried and was in second place for a Free Beer.  Check out the video to see who was a repeat from last week.

The New Bowling Shoes!

Dan The Man showed up with his new bowling shoes tonight.  He had been bowling on the infamous bowling team known as the Hot Shots for 7 years, renting shoes each night, and now he has his own to lead the team to victory.  Similar to the Caper who purchased bowling shoes last month and his average has been dropping since.  I think they spent $1000 each on rental bowling shoes and now they have their own.  Listen to Dan The Man about his shoes.

The Last Parade!

Hi Hot Shots & Hotettes,

Yes, it was Chief Warrant Officer Bradley's Last Parade, not to be confused with the Last Supper.

It was an honour for the Captain to be treated with such respect by one of his underlings.  He was chauffeured to Beechwood in the Car of The Year with Last Resort as Tour Guide.  We were directed to the VIP parking and the VIP seating for the ceremony as dictated  by my rank as Captain.

Great Job organizing the ceremony Hot Shot Dan The Man - you will be missed.  At the end of the proceedings the Captain and the Chief held a photo session for about 30 minutes while everyone there could get a photo.  Here it is:

Look at those medals.  All of them were earned.  There is none there for bowling.

What a team. We are going for the gold. Another 5 points last night and we will be in first place in no time. Hot Shot Pete is back from seeing the Pope and he had his best night of the year. The Captain won the draw for the strike bowl and with full focus, thinking only of his Hot Shots and to get them a Free Beer, rolled a perfect strike. The smiles and cheers from the Hot Shots was all I needed as there wasn't enough money left over from the $25 win to get me a beer so I had other plans for a Free Beer. Check out the video.

The 11th Season of the Hot Shots

The 11th season of the infamous professional bowling team known as the Hot Shots has been going for a month now and this is our first report as I have been away on the Mountain Top.

Listen to the Caper talk of the skills of his Captain as the Captain is now in bowling form and has taken back his anchor position. It took two weeks in the Holy Land to calm him down and now he is bowling.

We are in the top of the league and going for the gold. The Fall is here and we are ready to bowl.

The bowling may not have been the best this year but the fun times were. The feMALE President did another amazing job at the Bowling Banquet. It all started with a Hot Shot Happy Hour and the Captain talked the Caper into the Hot Shot Tradition of drinking beer out of the biggest mug in the Captain's house for first time visitors. Check him out after he had a few wine.

Don't worry Caper, I cleaned it up after Cooper used it on Thursday.

The Only True Irishman Wins!

It was Saint Paddy's Day night at Taylor Creek. The Captain was rolling for his Grandfather who will be 137 years old on March 17th. Patrick Joseph Egan, born in Dublin, lived across the street from us as a kid and every Saint Patrick's Day we celebrated his birthday. I was 29 before I realized he was not Saint Patrick.

Last Resort came to bowl. She has been practising since she arrived back from Mexico on Thursday and even tried to get her car out of the garage during the snow storm on Monday. It has paid off as she was the Best Hot Shot on Tuesday Night At Taylor Creek.
